The Master in I-Design arose from the unique challenge of bringing Italian culture to the world of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) This Master is subdivided into three main modules:
a basic course
the workshops combined with lectures held by visiting professors
specialisation that concludes with a final project.
The first module on design culture is conducted in synergy with the other activities of Domus Academy, mainly with the Design Master Course. The goal of the first module is to interweave the world of ICT to Design culture, to social and economic sciences, to arts and technological experimentation, in a perspective of discipline contamination Workshop. The core of the course (5 months) consists of project workshops on various themes during which visiting professors hold lectures.During the project seminars the themes tackled gravitate around interactive objects as experience mediators, material-digital hybrid spaces, media expressions and forms, and digital media services. Final Master ThesisThe conclusive part, lasting three months, consists of a series of seminars going more thoroughly into themes related to design research, devising project and Design vision methodologies in close relation with corporate procedures and the market. The Master Project is individual. Exploration and specialisation themes have a fundamental orientation role and represent the main discipline of the Master course: Interactive Media,Service Design, User Experience, Entrepreneurship, Digital Communication Case Historiescompanies and research centres operating in the web sector, Information Technology, E-business, digital products and electronic goods will present their case histories. The objective The MIND aims to provide designers with practical and conceptual skills to develop concepts and strategies for the world of ICT, integrating design and creative sensitivity to more technical and market orientated competence.
