Master in Architectural Design and Urban Management at Domus Academy
Duration: 12 months January to December (except August) Language: Italian with simultaneous translation to English for the first months Pre course and afternoon/evening Italian language courses available through our partner language school.
Accreditation Masters degree validated and awarded by the University of Wales with a value of 180 credits The objective The Master aims to replace old methods no longer applicable to the urban complexity by proposing new responses for current and future scenarios thereby enabling professionals to deal with territorial transformations, handle conflicts in a creative way and provide extraordinary design solutions. This Master provides a vision in which city planning, design skill, social and anthropological analysis and marketing and communication tools can converge to create a new professional identity that will reshape the functions and appearance of the urban space.
The audience The Master is projected towards professionals, recent graduates or final year students of planning, territorial, economics, social and communications study areas
The course Consists of 2 semesters (January-July) and (September-December) closing with the Master’s project, dissertation and the exhibition. The course focuses on Vision, Policies, Communication and Marketing in the territory and the Architectural link. The second part of the course supported by workshops and lectures is where the student decides on the Master Thesis in a specific research area of either Urban Design oriented to the management and enlarged planning of the territory and its functions, or Architectural Design which involves designing and creating the elements that make up the territory.
